Odds & Ends
Funeral Home Fans
These were essential items before churches were air conditioned, and when dinners on the grounds were actually held “on the grounds” and not in community centers. In church, you'd find a fan in each of the hymnbook racks on the back of the pew.
Many of these fans found their way into our homes. They came in handy at twilight after the day's work was done as we tried to cool off on the front porch.
