Cliffside, Dec. 28. Misses Sue Crowe, Lyndall Clayton and Lois Womack entertained their. Sunday school classes with a Christmas party last Thursday afternoon. Many games were played after which the presents were distributed. Refreshments consisting of apples, oranges and candy were served to the following: Joyce Rucker, Nellie Womack, Sarah Gibson, Betty Bailey, Geneva Cash, Marjorie Biggerstaff, Elizabeth Parris, Dora Humphries, Frances Crowe, Mary Sue Keeter, Corine Moore, Betty Lee Sparks, Louise Wall, Jane Robinson, Lucille Crowe, Marie Waters, Gaynelle Bennick, Ruby Packard, Grace Watkins and Vida Mc-Daniel.
The Christmas dinner guests of Mrs. R. J. Rayburn were, Mr. and Mrs. Gorman Rayburn and daughter La Vonia of Lattimore, Mr. and Mrs Joe Lovelace, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Lovelace and families from Sunshine, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Guffey, Mr. and Mrs. Poe Murray, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Parris, Mr. June Smith and Rev. and Mrs. J. A. Hunnicutt of Cliffside. .
The friends of Mr. Jim Winn are glad to know he is slowly improving at Oteen.
Mrs. Hal Miller returned Thursday from the Presbyterian Hospital and is improving at her home at Lakeview
Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Ellis spent Friday with Mrs. Ellis' parents near Shelby.
Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Hunnicutt had as their dinner guests Saturday evening, Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Wings [Wingo] and son James of Spartanburg, Mrs. Ola Gregory of Greenville, Mr. Earle Gregory of Easley.
Mrs. B. L. Davidson was, fortunate in winning a diamond ring from the Rufus Lewis jewelry store last week.
Mrs. J. C. Hames entertained Friday night in honor of her niece, Miss Mildred Blanton of Chesnee.
Mesdames E. T. Combs and Myles Haynes delightfully entertained Saturday evening in honor of Mrs. Charles Dalton.
Mesdames J. C. Hames, D. C. Whitaker and J. C. Mills gave a shower for Mrs. Charles Dalton on Tuesday evening.
James Allen Hunnicutt is spending several days with his grandmother, Mrs. Abbie Wings [Wingo], near Spartanburg.
Mrs. Graham Hamrick who has been sick is much better.
