Cliffside, Nov. 14 — Mrs. Odie Lancaster had the misfortune Friday morning of falling and breaking her leg. Mrs. Lancaster has the sincere sympathy of her many friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Greene entertained a number of their friends, Saturday night with a party honoring their week-end guests, Misses Edith Wall and Katherine Ezell. Those enjoying the occasion were: Misses Lyndall Clayton, Emma Sue Crow, Pearle Ledford, Elizabeth Bridges, Hannah Lou Pruett, Virginia Biggerstaff, Bunia White, Janie Campbell, Inez Biggerstaff, Edith Wall, and Katherine Ezell. Messrs. LeRoy McCurry, Otto Matheney, Otto McDeavitt, G. C. Fisher, Eugene Gosey, Lester Thrift, Carl McDaniel, J. C. Hamrick, Raleigh Holcombe, Billy Baynard, George Allhands and Max Pruette. Mr. and Mrs. Forest Bailey, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Hill, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Greene. Everyone reported a delightful time.
Mr. and J. P. Henderson and children, Jack and Lucille, of Shelby were the week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. R. R. Scruggs.
Mrs. R. R. Scruggs and daughters, Pauline and Betty Ann, visited in Forest City, Sunday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Frances [Francis] Dobbins of Ellenboro, were the week-end guests of relatives in Cliffside.
Mr. Charles Teague returned to his home in Gaffney after spending a week with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Ingram.
Mr. and Mrs. Hosea Martin of Danville, Va., were the week-end guests of Mrs. Martin’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Moore, of Cliffside.
Miss Lola Lofftis, a teacher at Asheville and Miss Edna Loftis, a teacher at Greenville, friends of Mrs. J. A. Hunnicutt were the week-end guests of Mrs. Hunnicutt.
Mr. Gerard Davidson, a pupil of the Wofford college, spent the week-end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. L. Davidson.
The revival at the Henrietta Baptist church closed with a great success. Rev. Hunnicutt has assisting Rev. Paris in a meeting there.
Rev. and Mrs. Hunnicutt will leave Tuesday to go to Asheville to attend the State Baptist convention.
Little Miss Vider [Vida] McDaniel, who underwent a tonsil operation at the Rutherford Hospital, is improving.
