What is the Blue Moon?

It's a new venture in Cliffside located in the former First Citizens Bank/Cone mill office building just south of Cliffside's Post Office. It's directly across from the old Baptist Church. The official address is 258 Old Main Street.

The proprietors of the Blue Moon are John and Beth Fisher, master stained-glass artists. Their Custom Stained Glass & Interiors has occupied part of the building for about a year, but they have now taken over the whole shebang, lined up a large stable of free-lance artists and artisans, and have formed The Blue Moon.

The Blue Moon's Grand Opening is this weekend (August 20-21). The hours are: Saturday 10:00am to 8:00pm; Sunday 1:00pm to 5:00pm. On both days, signed copies of the just-released book Cliffside: Portrait of a Carolina Mill Town will be on sale at the Blue Moon. The author will be lurking about the premises on Saturday, to autograph copies to your liking.
